service light
i just bought a 2000 ford f-150 a light come on saying ( service engine soon) whats that would like to hear from some one about it thanks ken

Go to autozone or advance auto and tell them that you need to get codes pulled, they will go out to your truck with their diagnostic scanner and read your codes and give you a ticket telling you what system is messing up, post codes here and we will direct you to certain problem areas, stuff that needs to be replaced, cleaned, or checked.

Regardless of what the guy at the store says is wrong, just write the codes down, and come back here and do yur homework before spending a penny.
The drones at the parts stores are not trained in diagnostics so they just guess many times.
