flowmasters on a

has anyone ever put flowmasters on a explorer with a 4.0 if u have how loud is it what does it sound like and does it make a differince on the acceleration?Thanks.

hey my mom has a 03 explore limited and i was kinda wondering the same thing. i personally don't think that flowmasters would be a good choice for the explorer. chech out www.magnaflow.com and listen to some sound clips of the explores with magnaflows on it. hope this helps.

Flowmasters on a V6 is hit and miss sound-wise.

5.4 has a better idea anyway.

I have a Flowmaster 40 series with a 3.5x9" tip on my 95 GMC Jimmy with a 4.3 Vortec. It sounds almost like a 350 at idle, but the V6 sound comes out when you get on it. I think you Explorer will will sound nice. As for adding power, it sure can't hurt anything concidering how restrictive stock mufflers are.
