How would I know if I have a Spicer or a 3300, 3600, or 3700? I would presume that I have the 3300 simply because this is a base line truck. Any suggestions?
I just replaced axle bearings in my 1971 F-100 with a Ford 9 inch with 28 spline axles. Autozone #
#012316 514003 (Timken?) rear wheel bearing with retainer. I believe some of the listings you posted are with/without bearing retainer and with/without axle seal. Mine was just bearing and retainer.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Oct-02 AT 11:32 PM (EST)]Spicer rear ends look different than a 9" type rear end. On a Spicer, the axle tubes press into the rear center housing, thus 3 separate pieces. The 9" housing is one piece from axle flange to axle flange.
