2003 Expedition- Tune Up?

2003 Expedition- Tune Up?
Hey guys, I found this site last month, soon after I got my 2003 ford expedition eddie bauer edition. so far I love the truck, it seems to run well. My main question is basically since ive only owned it for about a month, I dont know if it needs a tune-up or if it had gotten one recently, Ive only changed the brakes so far. What are some signs I should be looking for both driving and under the hood? Id really appreciate the expertise Ive seen on this site.
p.s.- it has 81,000 miles( i know alot for a 2003, but the engine is really quiet and sounds great) the mpg are 10.6 and I feel that is in part to living in new york city, where there are many stop signs, redlights.
Im looking into changing the air filter once I sort out the tune-up situation.
