Axel code 18?

Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out how much I'm able to tow with my truck. My axel code is 18. I have a 1998 F150 2x4, 5 speed, 6 cyl. What size are my gears? And, how much do you think I can tow?

if you have the manual it will tell you what the tow capacity for the different gears, and of course what the codes are...

That's the problem. I bought the vehicle used and it didn't come with the manual.

The gear ratio for Axle code 18 is 3.06, for towing go with the manufacturer towing capacity or you will overload the little F150.
