Bed Rail Protectors

I'm sure this has been asked before but here goes. I have a 70 F100 full size bed that I am looking for the aluminum diamond plate bed rails for. Does anyone know if the 73-79 bed rails will fit?

I am about to try the same thing and don`t see why it won`t work. The length of the bed should be about the same. Guess I`ll find out soon.

What was different and where did it not fit? If there is any differences in the dimensions of the box it would be good to know what that is.

The older trucks, 72 down or the newer trucks, 73 up are longer?

Thanks for all the come backs. My bed is a sport custom long bed. My main concern was the curvature at the top of the bed. If the later models are longer then I guess I could cut them down to the correct length.

Any info on the long box lengths between the 72 down and the 73 up?
