I just bought a 2001 F350 with the 7.3L. I was just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me for sure what axles I have in both the front and the back. Ive heard a bunch of different crap from people about DANA 50, DANA 80s, and the ford 10.25". I figured i could probable figure it out by looking at the vin or crawling under my truck but i havnt really had either the time or motivation. So if anyone could tell me for sure that would be great.

What is your build date? You can find that on the door VIN sticker...
The early 2001 still had the D50 up in the front. However, the late 2001 (very few to boot) had the D60 up front. More than likely you have the D50...but thought I would mention it.

i just have a quick question
had to replace my rear axle seal, so i know exactly what axle i have
it is the stearling
why does my axle have a dana diff cover?
the truck is a 99 psd f350 drw
thanks
i kinda figured that itshould be a dana, but, the seal i bought the firsttime
was for the dana, but it was the wrong one, had to get the stearling one
but, the diff cover clearly has dana stamped in it
the truck is the early 99, that may be the problem, and it is the original axle
(been in family since new in 99)
the dealer couldnt even tell me by the vin and the codes
dont know
