low power?????????
i have a 97 psd with stage 1 inj, 02 turbo converson,3" intakes and ported heads, hpop,wildman chip,suncoast trans and conv,4"down pipe with 5" exhaust no cat, intake, fps,idm mod,intercooled and only 5k on new engine. and i get smoked by stock psd on racing and pulling. to tell u the truth it was twice as fast all stock. i checked every thing i could think of and find nothing worng. oil good no miss no codes lots of black smoke 70 psi of fuel psi, changes icp,and every sensor and harness possible. please help. if i wanted a peice of slow crap i would of built a chevy lol

Well if you are talking about an all stock 6.0 or 99-03 7.3, ya they are fast. But with your mods you should be able to keep up with them. One question, you have a stock wastegated 02 turbo? If so get rid of that thing and buy an H2E or some other upgraded turbo, that will really clear up the black smoke and use that fuel to make more HP. Also did you upgrade to a 17* HPOP from a later model PSD?
Just looked at your sig. you have a 12" lift! What size tires are you running and what gear ratio?

i have 410 gears, with 40" tires and the trucks i am compairing to are 95-97 psd. i did have edge chip but heard nothing but bad so had tony build me a chip and not much differance, i do have the 17 hpop i have even went back to my stock cam thinking that might have somthing to do with it means the guy that makes it is not well know but all that did was make me lose power. wast gate i by passed that helped a bit but not alot. all i did was change turbo, inj, and hpop from when i put in new engine due to half a piston left in #7 and it is way slower now then it was with 7 cyl whats up with that.

Well 5k on a motor, it isnt even broke in yet. I dont really know what to tell you, you should be well above 300 HP. Is it a manual or auto tranny? If its an auto you might have some torque converter problems.

did you do the lift recently or was it on the truck before the motor work? 40's on 4.10 gear is asking alot of your motor and drivetrain! what kind of boost numbers are you seeing? how old is the fuel filter? i am sure it is but is your chip burned for your mods?

i have a new sun coast trans and triple stage conv. run about 35-38 lbs of boost hard to tell it likes to creap up with no wast gate changes fuel filter a 100 times and talked with tony for hours on building my chip. i put the lift on the truck right away and was still super fast stock, it makes no since to me how 10k worth of parts can make you go slower, it there any way to mess up timming with the hpop or just the cam?

there isn't any timing to hpop so thats not a cuncern. if you had timed the cam wrong i am pretty sure you would have broken parts (ie valves, pistons). was it a new hpop you put on? guessing it is. really need to be able to look at live sensor data to make sure everything looks good. has it been this way since the build up? sounds like it has been. i am drawing blanks hopefully some one will chime in soon that has more ideas but i will continue to think about the problem!

How slow are you talking about? All stock mine would go 0-60 in 15-16 seconds, with 222,000 miles on the motor and the chip on high it will now go 0-60 in 9-10 seconds and I am only making 26 psi boost.

i put the new inj. in when i install the new engine and my thought is the same i think its the turbo just cant prove it and i have to change all my exhaust to put back on the old so thats not an option. it was a used hpop but my scaner says i have 2500 psi of press. at load. i thought that was good but i might be worng. what is the right part # i need to make sure i have the good pump because mine is off a 2000? and also yes as soon as i put this engine in it was slow from the get go.
what i mean by slow and y im so made if my buddy has the same truck with 275k all original but edge and no cat also lifted to the moon with 38" tires and kicks my but in a race from the word go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so there has to be somthing worng with my truck please help. i will try any thing!
