Does anybody have a source for a odometer assembly or possivley a speedometer repair shop for a reasonable price. Mine odometer has fallen apart, I tried a junkyard twice but both times they fell apart before I could get them to work.
I don't understand why you are having problems with odometers. I have had mine apart, set it to zero when I put the new engine/tranny in so I can tell how many miles are on them. I was able to put it back together and install it again.
Welcome to the best Truck site on this planet, filled with some of the best expertise and folks avaible. I'm with John, "What's the problem your having with your odometer?". The only problem I've ever had was the speedo dial would bounce between mph going down the road. I try putting some grease into where the speedo cable goes into the odometer, but no luck, I just traded out odometers then. I got the old round speedo, if you want I'll give ya for shipping cost...
Again, welcome to FTE
Okay, the one that was in my truck was my fault, WD40 will cause 42 year old plastic to crumble. The other ones time, out in the open air in Alabama caused corrosion both speedos I pulled them out of were not in good shape. Just lucky I guess. My speedo works fine just no odometer. Did you mean you have a good speedo with working odometer?
Mitch, You need to go to the user Control panel and put in a new email address that is current. I got your mail that you sent to me through my user name, but my reply to you bounced.
I think you sent a mail a while back that also bounced.
