I put in the Edge Platinum w/attitude on my 05 F250PS , so far I dont have any problems. I done the extreme mode jsut a couple of times, 0-60 in 6.7sec. not to shabby. As far as increase MPG. I am seeing like 1- 1.5 increase mpg. I havent had a chance to use it in towing mode just yet. I like this product because it will keep the engine running to cool down the turbo. Now what I was told is that, since this product is place after the computer that it is undetectable when the dealer plugs into it( Now I wont take it into the dealer with it still in,cuz I know they will void the warranty).

They can probably see all. Maybe they cant see the box itself but I would think hey could see the EGT spikes and boost max's. They voided my trans warranty under suspicion of chipping. I drove on extreme everyday (no load) always.

Well I plan on draining the power also before bringing in the truck. I certainly dont need them to void the warranty. Besides, wouldnt the EGT spike if your hauling a trailer? So, how would they know if you had a chip.

They voided your warranty under suspicion of chipping......I would have to say that they did that because you allowed them to. My fathers truck went in and the dealer asked about a tuner, and we said no. They said that they thought there may have been one and we said no. They said that Ford can void a warranty if we over tuned the truck, and our reply was our lawyers business card. Our truck was repaired with no questions asked. Patrick's 05 PSD has tuner and more, and the dealer it was purchased from knows, and they dont care. My nfather got his truck at a lame dealer, but they still can't void a warranty on a suspicion or a whim....it gets legal at that point. There has to be proof, or you can eat them alive.

I should have fought harder and I never admitted chipping it to them. I was pissed at their response and I do have 1 option left. I will exercise it at my next purchase. Arent US automakers all in financial trouble? Wonder why? If only Honda would make a big diesel!

I am not sure if you ever reach the EGT's that a tuner will hit. I dont know for sure as I have never towed stock with a monitor.

Ordered the Bully Dog Power Pup with the Outlook Monitor. Since you're talking about EGT's - What are some temps that should be expected? Both with and without a tuner? Also, how about when towing?

Well, im not sure about Bully Dog but, I have my monitor(Edge Platinum) to go off if EGT's hit 1250. What I was told is "Melt down" is at 1400

Well I have run 1450 many tiimes and that is where my defuel was set. I have gone higher than that momentarily. I also think more power can be attained without the excessive EGTs the Edge provides. Just a thought no proof.

At about 1350 the material starts to melt. But that is 1350 material temp, not air temp. So if you spike the EGT's to 1600 for 7 seconds in a race but the actual piston material never goes over 1175 degrees...your fine. Its a gamble. If you were pulling a trailer up a mountain for 4 miles at 45 mph with the EGT's at 1400.....you may well be calling a tow truck.

I set the alarm on my six gun for 1150. I would call 1200 the safe limit, because the EGT probes may or may not be very accurate, and dont forget that there is a delay on the street probes.....they are shielded from the intense beating and that same sielding that allows the probe to last more than a few hours, makes the probe a bit lazy on reading. And there is the accuracy thing....who knows if your probe is off 25, 50, or even 150 degrees. I would maintain a nice buffer.,....I do.

are you saying that they ad 330 lbtq on the ford? seem like a lot of torque compaired to all there ads, I know the Dmax picks up that much Tq.

Also when do you have trans issues with uping the tq that much?
