He guys I got a freind who's 2000 powerstoke won't run long with out dieing we replaced the cps and it still will die after a few miles of running the let it set for a while then it will start and go for another little spell what could it be?
An engine needs Air, fuel & ignition (In our case the compression provides a flash point). The computer can cut the fuel, but usually needs a reason to do so.
Chances are that you are having a fuel issue. Is the check engine light coming on? Is it a gradual dieing (Sputtering before stopping) or an immediate stop?
Has the fuel filter been changed recently? Has your friend drained the fuel float bowl recently?
New fuel filter and has 80hp superchip plug in chip check engine light will only flash while it won't start superchip programmer we have won't read the codes on this truck.

Pull the chip out and check the connection pins. Sounds like they may be dirty or corroded. Clean and reinstall or you could run it without the chip and see if it still dies.
We have tried that we thank it is fuel related a sensor are some thing cause when it runs it runs right so we are going to work on it saturday hopfully we stay to busy during the week I let youns know what we find thanks for you guys help.RIP
I'd run it with out chip, just to eliminate it for sure, yeah you are making 4 or 5 miles with it, but ya never know. My brother and I had a similar problem on his boat when we first ran it out in the river, turned out to be varnish plugging the pickup tube and the engine would die. You might drop the tank and check it out if nothing else solve it before hand.
Does it die suddenly or stumble then die? If stumbling first, you might want to check you fuel pressure. Clogged fuel pumps seem to be an issue lately. I would guess if it is clogged enough it would starve the engine.
