Transmission slipping?

Hey guys,I have a 04 F150 SCrew with 3:55 gears.I was wondering if it's normal for the engine to rev to about 2 grand before the truck starts moving.I have a 69 Cougar with 3:5's in it and when I step on the gas there's no engine reving it just goes.is the tranny slipping or is this normal?

I think your tranny is slipping. How many miles? Do you have taller than stock tires are on your truck? If yes, at higher speeds, does tranny constantly down shift into 3rd gear?
