2006 Lariat - ? about MP3 Player
Question I have - the MP3 player seems to take A LONG TIME to read the MP3 discs I have burned for the truck once I got it. Some times it will reject the discs as 'BAD DISK' but played it previously and will play it later if I re-insert. The whole thing seems just a little rough. Anyone with any experience on this?
Thanks!
1. Use a high quality brand of CD-R. Don't go the el cheapo route here.
2. Close the disc out after your program burns the music. Although this should not be necessary, it WILL help.
3. Use folders to contain the music, instead of putting single mp3 files on the root of the cd. Yes its a PITA to switch through the folders, but it does seem to handle this better than one large 'folder' of songs
These steps should allow you to use it without issue (I have not had one, other than initial load on the CD where the codec is first loaded. CD-RW's although nice to be able to re-record will cause issues.
