I just had a Donahoe 2.5" leveling kit put on my 06 King Ranch F250 4x4, c/c, short bed. The kit I put on included the 4" replacement rear block and all new shocks. The only complaint that I have is that I have much more ssteering wheel play. The shop that installed my kit did an alignment on the truck after the kit was installed. It takes alot more effort to "correct" the truck when going down the road. Kind of an all over the road feeling. Other than that the truck rides incredible. Shocks make all the difference in the world. Body roll and overall handling feel like a different truck. I was hoping to find someone that has the same kit and if they had similar issues. I will post pics when new tires, nitto t/g 325-60-20's, go on factory wheels this week. THANKS !!!!!!!!
I have been considering that same kit, because I heard it helps the ride and handling. It appears as if at least part of that is true. The steering issue concerns me.
Definitely post pics, I was also going to keep the factory wheels because I like them. Sounds like we have the same truck.
If you didn't change your tires I would think you shouldn't have the feeling your describing. I have the 4.5" DR system, but changed to 35" BFG Muds and notice the feeling your describing. I would think it is normal for my situation. You said the shop aligned it. Was it off? With the 4.5" system there is no alignment necessary. They didn't reduce your castor angle like stated in the Ford TSB did they. If reduced it you will have more of the effect your describing. Just some food for thought here.
O.K. Kerr, I am sorry about the late evening photos but here ya go. You can still see the lift though. For azbadboy, you were right on the money, the caster was off. They set it and the truck handles like a dream. words can't explain how much better the truck drives and handles. The body roll I had in tight turns is virtually gone. The "death wobble" is much better, hardly even noticeable. The shop that installed the kit does not handle donahoe, I bought the kit online. The shop owner was very impressed with the kit. He said that it is by far the best quailty kit he has ever installed. He was not happy about the price of it though. Kinda expensive for 2.5". I was about to send the 2.5 kit back and swap it for a 4.5, boy am I glad I stuck w/ the 2.5. They had another 06 F250 getting a 4" bds kit. we parked them next to each other and you could barely notice the difference. I wanted to go 2.5 because I needed to be able to get in the car wash. Having a black truck = car wash access a must for me. I will post better pics soon. Have a good one !!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. clears the car wash by @ 2". LOL
Not trying to bum you out, but I just took mine through the car wash for the first time the other day. It fit no problemo. It is an independent car wash vs some of the bigger chains in the Phx area though. Most likely wouldn't fit in all of them. Here are some pics of a 4.5"

AzBaddboy - Which car wash do you use? I'm in the East valley and looking for a car wash that take my truck without jumping the tracks. I get my newly lifted truck tomorrow. I had a sneak peak today....and all I can say is WOW!
It is called TNT carwash. It aint on your side of town though. LOL Probably couldn't be further away. Bell Rd and Grand Ave. I work at Queen creek and Dobson and it is 52 miles from there.
Cangim - actually up north there is buttloads. Those pics are actually in a subburb of Phx. Carefree/Cavecreek area. Here is another one I took of north Phx in the background a few weeks ago. This is not normal at this low of an altitude that is why I took so many pics.
