Rear Window motor?

Rear Window motor?
I'm 15 and just bought a 1990 Ford Bronco XLT. Very nice, but the only problem is the tailgate window. You can hear the motor trying to work, but the windo won't move up nor down. So I went ahead and bought a new motor for the window. Is that the Problem or is it something else?

The motor you bought, assuming it has the gearhead on it should wokr just fine because it should have a new gearset inside the gearhead. So, its not that it won't work, its just that you probably didn't need to buy the whole motor. The Delrin pins are probably the only thing that really needed to be replaced. KEEP the old motor and replace the pins... sell it on ebay and regain some of the money you spent.

Also....IIRC the tailgate motor and RS (passenger side in the US) are interchangable.....so now you have a back up not only for the TG motor, but you have back up for the RS door also.
