From what i've seen, the cheapest way to repair the power window motor is by replacing the 3 nylon bushings, at least thats all that appears damaged with mine.
On ebay, partzway appears to sel them the cheapest ($3.95). They all look exactly the same, but he's saying that different cars have different bushings and even the tailgate motor on a bronco is different then the other two. I have a 95 and from what his listings say, the only bushings he sells that are meant for 92-95 are the ones that also come with the gear for $15.
Does anyone know if these bushings are one size fits all? The cheapest i've found from auto parts stores around here is $20.
So far I have used the exact same ones on a 90, 93, and a 94 Bronco. As far as the TG motor goes.....well I would have to assume they are also the same, and BTW the TG motor will swap out with the LS door motor.
The difference is the compound of the Delrin used to make them. Because they are designed to handle windows of different sizes and weights, the compound is slightly different on say a set for a Bronco tailgate as opposed to the side windows. Its possible, since they are designed to crush at a certain pressure that using a set in the wrong location will yield premature failure when they shouldn't or no failure when they should crush.
