where to put CB

I have an 89 F250 4x4 5spd.I can't find a decent spot under the dash to mount it.Any ideas

I mounted mine to the metal trim strip at the intersection of the windshield and the headliner. You can run the wiring behind that trim, and behind the trim on the A-pillar.

I have no headliner in mine,just plain steel roof.How long of sheet metal screws can I use,before I go through my roof.

Forgot to add...


On these year trucks, the ash tray comes straight down, not sliding out. I have an older CB that weighs a few pounds. It holds down the ash tray open. It does squeak when going over lots of bumps. It hasnt too bad with the lift kit and new shocks...

I made a little bracket and bolted mine to the 60/40 seat frame. works for me.

Mine is bolted to the cup holder that attaches to the bottom of the bench seat.

My problem is the 2 shifters,plus I use my ashtray.Could you send me a pic of the cup holder bracket.
