The plate on the tailgate?
What's behind the silver plate on the tailgate on some of these trucks? Mine has it and it's probably the only thing i don't like about my truck.

If i take it off, what's behind it? Will i have to get a whole new gate? or is it just something i can pop off and not leave too many marks?

Holes, there's two holes for every retainer............

If I didn't already have a silver plate, I'd switch you. It looks nice imo, so I don't think it should be hard to find someone who would switch.

The red plastic piece that goes on the outside of the aluminum piece broke off of my truck, so I'd be glad to take it of your hands if you are looking to get rid of it . I've been driving around with the whole aluminum thing taken off of my truck, and it definitely looks different, but doesn't look bad. Mine has FORD stamped into the tailgate panel, and the six big holes like was said above.

Maybe you could just call the six holes "vents" for aerodynamic purposes.....

ha! You COULD always use a little filler, spray a little primer/paint/clearcoat on there and call it good.

I need one of these panels, with the plastic attachments, for my 94 F-150. What year model trucks had the same design/fit? Anyone got one they wanna sell me cheap? I'm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area...
