I have a 1970 F100 Sport Custom Explorer Edition and I need to take the door panel off to replace the window regulator and the door lock. I can't seem to find a way to remove the armrests. I thought that the three holes would have screws up inside but it seems to just be flat metal. It is very hard to see in there because of the lighting where I have to work. Can someone clue me in? I know it must be easier than it seems.
I just checked. On my 68 they are 3/8" screws. Here's a photo of one being taken off and the attachment which the bolt screws into. You may need to use a 1/4" drive socket if the 3/8" drive socket is too thick to slide into the armrest mounting holes.

It was the 3/8 on the armrest and 11/32 on the door handle. I have replaced the locks and now I just need to see about getting a new window regulator for the drivers door. I had to use a nutdriver as the socket would get stuck in the armrest holes.
