You should be able to find all your front end parts at your local parts house. I think I got everything to do mine from O'Reilly's. What they didn't have in stock they were able to get the next day.
It is a MS 72 with v8 and auto 4x2. i beleive the 67-72 are pretty much the same. m front end shimmies and the paly seems tho be pitman arm drag lin area.
>Wher the heck can i find a pitman arm for a 72 f100 v8 auto??
Is your pitman arm bent? If not there shouldn't be any reason to change it. I believe all of the 2wd arms are the same, 65-79.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Nov-02 AT 07:18 AM (EST)]The pitman arms are different, power steering and manual steering will not interchange. The shaft from the steering gear box is larger...or is it smaller on the power steering unit. When you get the pitman arm from the junk yard, don't forget to get the nut and lock washer. Happy Thanksgiving!
Check the rag joint for wear and play. Check the lower steering column bearing for wear or play. Then replace the steering link and both ends of the tie rod. Pitman arms do not wear out. They can be bent but usually there isn't much truck left after that happens. Post back!

It is in the steering box. i had it on the lift and the pitman arm and drag links had no play in them. Ther was a little play when I tried to shake the top and bottom of the tire, and a little left to right. but there was no play in the arm drag link or rod ends.
