where can I find a pitman arm puller big enough for the pitman arm on my 78 F 150????

 

Bought mine at autozone...In order to craddle the arm I had to install it starting at the skinny end and of the arm and sliding it into position. That was on my 2WD with the draglink still connected.

 

I saw one at Sears yesterday, in Durham North Carolina.

well I got one from advance and it was to small.... it takes a big one and I was wondering where I could get one...

 

Try snap on tools, stop at one the repair shops and ask them if they could give you a phone number or when he comes there hope that helps

 

I've never used one, I just hit the side of the pitman arm with the steering attatched with a big hammer and they usually pop off. There was the one though, that required 2 peices of chain welded to the side of the arm and a bottle jack in the middle, but I think that was a rare one.
