here is the vin. on the truck. f10ACL04376 I know that "f10" means f100-2 wd "a" means 6 cyl 240 cid 1v carb what is throwing me off is the ***. plant code "c" = ONTARIO, CAN. THE "L" = MICHIGAN TRUCK so where was it built? and the 04376 is the C.U.N.
The 'C' is the plant code. The L04376 is the actual sequential unit number which will tell you what month/year it was scheduled to be built. It sounds like a 70 unit but I haven't got my info right here to confirm it. Anybody else?
the whole vin number matches the 67-72 year models.
the location it was built was canada
the "L" thats throwing you off...michigan truck, just means it was destined for that part of the country after assembly...the northeast
The L is the coding for the year/date it was made with the numerics meaning the consecutive Truck build number.
I can't remember what year/Month L is but I'll look for it.
The DSO number on the bottom of the rating plate is where the truck is destined to go.
