Just a little thing I use when I change my oil.
I take a 2 liter soda bottle and cut the top off at the top of the lable, take lable off, cut the ring off the top so not to drop it in the engine, clean both halves very good, use the top for a funnel, loosen the filter just a little, enough to be able to turn with hand, slip the big half of the bottle over the filter, and turn the filter off, holding the bottle to the top of the filter all the way off. The bottle catches all the oil, and the filter, so you never have to get oil down the arm again. Workes every time.

Neat idea Gary! I will definetly give that a try the next time I change the oil. I have two vehicles which the oil filters are mounted at about a 45 degree angle. What a mess. Thanks for the tip.
What a GREAT idea!! Wish I'd have seen this day before yesterday. Changing the oil in my Bronco II and after draining couldn't find my funnel. (suspect those danged kids of mine but of course all I heard was, "I didn't take it Dad, I promise!").
Anyway, I wound up taking my wife's kitchen funnel, a pretty little plastic blue job, and hoped she wouldn't notice. Yeah, I caught it 'cause apparently she has radar for ALL her tools!
Sure wish I would have been smart enough to think of THIS!!!
