400 tranny

I've got a 78 bronco 4x4 with the 400, and the C6 manuel tranny. I'm getting tired of it stalling, is there a newer 5 speed manuel, or automatic that will bolt, do I have to change the bell housing, and what make of vehical could I pull it out of at the junk yard?

the c6 is a auto tranny..not manual....the only manual I know of them putting in the bronco is the New Process 435....which is a 4 speed with 1st being granny low gear....
