copper lines

looking to get the truck started this weekend , can i use soft rolled copper lines to hook the auto trans up as a temporary fix ?

Short term only, copper will work harden from vibration and eventually break.

NAPA carries cut lengths and is reasonably priced, you just need a tubing cutter and bender.

Get some 5/16 brake line. The kind with a metal coil around it.
They come in various lengths. 2 - 5 foot pieces should do nicely.

With the steel coil you can bend without fear of kinking it.

ok , all i want to do is fire the engine up so i can hear it run . it is no where near ready to be road tested . i wasn't sure what the tranny fluid might do to the copper .

Nothing will happen to the copper line.

If you just want to fire it up install a short section from fitting to fitting.
If it is not being driven no heat will be encountered.
