Help With 90 F250
I've got a 90 F250 4x4 with a 460. I recently changed the engine out with a fresh low mileage 460 from the same year truck. I worked out all the codes and the truck seems to be running fine, but now the CE light is coming back on from time-to-time. It's popping a 565 code (canister purge circuit failure?).
Can anyone help me determine what to do next to get this code to clear? Thanks, this site's been a big help already with this project.

Take out the canister purge valve - see if it will hold vacuum in closed, de-energized position, if so good. Then with vacuum applied jump 12 volts to connector red lead and ground grey/yellow lead (fron 88 manual - hope it is same on 90) and vacuum should bleed off should be able to cycle valve with voltage and it should move quidkly.
