A guy here is advertising a 1969 f250 super cab in the local buy and sell,so I thought it might be a crewcab or a 73-79 supercab that was mis-printed so I phoned and inquired he said it is a 69 and it is a super cab,he says these trucks were custom built by a company in the dearborn area that built strech limos, the trucks were sent there by ford and converted, very few were done making it rare and unique vehicle,it has side facing jump seats and glass windows in the extended area,so my question is has anyone ever heard of or seen one of these things and would it be worth picking up ($500),thanks for your input.
Any running Ford truck is worth $500.00. If ya got the funds and want it, go for it. You'd have a unusual truck.
There were some companies that did R&D for the big three. I hauled some parts into one once that did tops, sun, moon, convertable, etc. They would have a plain stripped body on a huge pallet in their shop.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
I had thought about grafting the rear portion of a '73-'79 supercab onto the back of the cab of my '68 shortbed. I would change the body reveal from concave to convex to match the '68's lines, and shorten the front of the box to make it look kind of like one of those new sporttrac beds.
I'll probably never actually do it . . . but it's nice to imagine!

Those pics are crewcabs, not super cabs. That sounds like a decent project and if the body isn't badly rusted and the if the frame wasn't butchered I'd say go for it. (and send us a picture)
