I thought it would be fitting to post my 1000th post down here in the V10 forum since it's where the majority of my time is spent here on FTE. I want to thank all you guys for making this an enjoyable forum to be part of and for making it not only informitive, but personable too! Thanks to fred, don, charlie, Arthur, boxcar, NoMo, Forty, Big Orn, and all the other members that make this form one of the most repitable on FTE!! Thanks again guys!! Cheers to another 1000 posts!
And you're mighty welcome. I don't hang out much anywhere else myself, but here and the SD forum...mostly here. I have to keep an eye on this bunch pretty much all the time. I do get a chance to now and then, howsoever, to let the kid in me loose.
a hearty congratulations to you SLE! this family here on the V10 forum is the best, i agree. and big orn, i am glad someone is keeping an eye on me. have you seen my mind anywhere? i think it wandered off.............. matt
SLE, Congratulations and thank you for so many great posts. You are a pretty quick for a young guy. A lot of us had to get past 50 before we saw the light and made the V10 our engine choice. A few of us, myself included, had suffered diesel brain damage, and spent many years in a black evil fog, driving a Ford truck powered by an engine that belongs in a school bus. Then we grew up, saw the light, and cast off the chains of an out of balance pickup and discovered the smooth reliable V10 that was designed for a pickup and makes it handle like a dream. Take care and I look forward to many more posts from you.......... Don.
Congrats SLE, from a newbie who is not worthy. You've helped me out a few times and I only hope I can return the favor. I think this call for a big smokin 1000 post burnout!

Sounds like a fine Idea, and since my tires are cupped anyway what the he!!, My wife would wonder who in the heck made skid marks that looked like the number 1000 out on the highway, I can already see it................... classic!!!
Thanks for all the kind words guys, its nice to be part of a forum with such a stellar group of people. I decided to to treat the truck to a set of nice stainless mudflaps for the 1000th post; actually a buddy that has a SD put some big meaty muddin tires on and they wouldn't fit without the new tires rubbing so I more or less inhearited them, non the less they look damn good! I did however give the ol girl a good cleaning on sunday and treated myself and ordered my steel top for my work bench, now if I only had the virtue of patience to wait for things, lol.
Anyhow it looks like spring has begin to grace the high plains early this year, unfortunatly that means all the contractors are chompin at the bit to get things movin, so back to busy season for me! If you don't see many posts from me for a while this is the reason although I sure you that come lunch time each day I try to atleast catch up on a little reading (hard to type and eat) and the V10 and superduty forum are usually the two first places that I look! Like I said earlier, cheers to another 1000 posts!
since spring is imminent up your way...here is a tip:
Find a few of the large cans of WD40 when they are on a two fer sale.
Before heading out to a trip where you KNOW you will be "In The MUD" spray the already clean inner fender wells with the WD40 real good. Makes "flush n clean out" infinitely easier!
Great tip fred, thanks! Although I don't seem to get into the mud in the spring nearly as much as I do in the fall (most due to hunting season) but this give good reason to keep a couple of cans in the camper for those rainy days tryin to get out of camp sites!
