I need to change my pass. side front hub on my 4x4..
NAPA carries them but are they guaranteed for life just like their other parts ?
And do they stock the other parts necessary, like to latge yellow "O" ring and large seal ??
I remember someone on here commenting on it but can't find the link.
Thanks
Nope. Yellow o-ring is a Ford item, along with new studs (highly recommended).
O-ring: F81Z-4A322-AA
Studs (you need four): F81Z1107-AA
Total for the Ford parts is around $20.
You likely will be able to re-use the outer "hub lock" seal, but if it does eventually need replacing, it's just a snap ring's removal away. No "complete dissassembly" to get to it, like the yellow one.
You should also have some wheel-bearing grease around, too, for this job.
I didn't need to replace the shaft seal, as mine was still good, so I can't comment on the price, procedure, or difficulty.
