i may get a dual exhuast i found in my LMC truck magizine. Only problem is, is that this system is made for the ford ranger....my question is that, how closely are the systems of the bronco II and ranger related, for the 80's yaer models.
This system is made for "long bed" rangers, and with cutting can be made to fit the short bed ranger....im guessing that i can cut this pipe even sorter to fit my bronco....or dose the ranger and bronco II exhuast follow different bends, and turns???
I dunno it might be a squeeze, i just put custom exhaust on my truck with flowmaster, and it looked tight to get dual exhaust under there. I put a 2.25 inch pipe on my truck and it really opened it up, but then again I have an 84 and it carbed so it really helped to open up my exhaust. I think if I go with headers next I will be blown away by the difference.
Do you have a rnager or bronco II? This system is made for the rnager, so it better fit that atleast, i was wondering if the bronco II and ranger exhuast system followed the smae bends around the axle and stuff.
As long as the exhaust is for the 2.9L v-6, it should be similar, but you'll probably end up having to modify the catalytic converter outlet pipe length to fit the BII, unless it is a muffler-back system... either way, I'm thinking it'll end up being a trip to a muffler shop to finish the job or get it done somewhat right (some muffler shops suck).
As long as the pipe fits aorund the axle i can do the rest...
There is a flange coming off the cat pipe....im thinking of just fiting the pipe into the thre cat outlet pipe, and clamp it behind the flange. It should work that way. I alo need to cut the exhuast shorter. Ill just meaure twice and cut once.
