What all does a person need to change my standard wipers to an intermitten wiper system. Can I get away with just changing the wiper switch or do I need to do both the switch and the wiper motors?
I don't want to go to much expense, I just rather have intermittent wipers than always reaching over and turn the wipers on and off for a lite drizzle.

 

What year truck? If you have an older model, the easiest thing to do would be to get a intermittent box from JCWhitney.com. If you have a newer model that offered them from the factory, you just need the dash switch and the delay module from a junkyard truck. I have heard they come up for sale on ebay too for the later trucks.

 

My truck is an 85. My 86 has them. I would like my 85 to have them. Is this new enough.

 

Yes. Just get the switch and the module and plug it in.

 

Thanks I find it a nuinance bending over to wipe few drops that acummilate when it is not coming down hard. I hate the wiper chatter when it is not raining hard enough, so intermittent is the way to go for me . Thanks again.
