alright guy youve been there for my truck and i thank you much, lets eee if you can figgure out what i need to do now!! My 96 psd automatic tranny 4x4, has an edge ez,and evolution, 3"dp no cat 4" exhaust a banks quick boost turbo, transcommand and the napa airfilter mod, can you tell my why it seems so sluggish from start, it has verry little turbo lag, cause it registers
since your in alaska i will guess that this mainly happens when you first start your truck after it sets a while, when your truck is cold? if that correct you are experiencing the exhuast backpressue valve closing to help the engine to warm up fast.
if this is the case here how to verify. with a cold engine so you don't get burned. climb up into the engine compartment and look at the drivers side bottom of the turbo and there will be a 2 wire connector. it has wires on each side of the connector. this is the connector that control the EBPV. unplug it and see how the truck drives.
if this isn't your problem we need a bit more info like when it happens, any noises, what the weather is like, how warm your truck is, any check engine light? a few things like that.
the ebpv is unplugged. it sounds normal, just feels like its gaining rpm slow, the turbo is registering and it only happens from a stop to wot, like racing, it doesnt feel like the transmitions slipping, it feels like all the power is just not getting there with the throttle response, theres no codes and it doesnt feel like a cam sensor
