front clip removal

i just read crawlfish's post about installing a new engine and transmission and the topic wandered to front clip removal, conveniently enough, as i am removing mine tommorow. people were suggesting removing it as one piece, but i was going to do it piece by piece, seeing as i am doing a lot of body work and painting and having the pieces separate would make that easier. should i take it as one piece, then separate them, or go hood, then grill, then quarter panels, then fenderwells? any other, easier order if i do it separately? thanks guys.

I find that removing the front clip is easier part by part on the truck.When you have it off and take it aprt then,it tends to move around alot.But lining it all back up again can be a pain.

agreed. it's easier to piece it apart while its on the truck.
