I am taking the Dana 50 off my 250 and putting on a Dana 60 straight axle .I bought that drop down bracket it came with 6 bolts. 3 bolts are shorter and 3 are longer. Do the longer bolts go on the top of the bracket and the shorter ones on the bottom or what?there was no directions to tell me.ugh

its the bracket you need to make the dana 60 axle fit on a 250.i thought it was called a dop down bracket.it has 6 holes in it one end conects to the truck the other end to the axle.
it connects where the old dana 50 use to pivot on the truck in the center.anyone that has done the dana 60 swap on their 250 has to have one.
Say what? who says anyone that does that swap has to have a bracket running from the pivot point to the axle? You've got me totally lost most people are cutting that bracket off cause it's in the way or adding enough lift to clear it.

I think he means the trackbar bracket for the dana 60???
i was thinking trackbar too, but using the middle pivot point would give really bad angles and serious bumpsteer. are you going to leafs? or did you get it changed over to coils?

thats a track bar, and you dont NEED one but it might be a good idea esp if you have play in the front end (like old bushings or worn out springs)
the trac bar bolts right in place of where your TTB brackets were on the engine crossmember.
