Tried it and still nothing. I'm thinking I may have to get those wires grounded?

OK, check all the heavy cable connections.

1, battery + to solenoid. 2. solenoid to starter terminal. 3. battery - to ground. 4. engine to chassis.

That is eight cable ends. Clean them all and the surfaces that they contact. Apply a little grease to them all to prevent corrosion. Good tight clean connections might take care of the problem, but it should be done anyway just as a matter of maintenence.

Keep us posted.

I had a bad Negative battery cable that went to the starter casing. Replaced that and it started great.

The cable went from the negative post on the battery, to a grounding spot on the frame, then it went to one of the bolts on the starter that holds it in place.
