I was coming back from the stables today and noticed some vibration. I figured it was a rock in a tire, so I didn't pay much attention. Then when I got to a redlight, the diesel was vibrating and almost pulsing. The valves were making lots of noise. It was down on power some - not a whole lot, but if I stepped on the accelerator it started vibrating pretty badly.
It ran fine on the way over to the stables (40 miles). I did have to fill it up today and added 8 ounces of a 50:50 mix of Marvel mystery oil and Dieselkleen, but I did that before I headed over to the stables.
BTW it is an 06 PSD CC F350 auto with about 4000 miles.
Anyone have any ideas. I did check the turbo hoses and they are all connected.
If it is nothing obvious, I'm taking it to the mechanic on Monday.
Not only what tvsjr said, but if memory serves, Marvel Mystery Oil is RED. Wouldn't want the dealer making any false assumptions about what type of diesel fuel you've been burning (untaxed, off road fuel is red).
theyre supposed to drive the vehicle for 20-25 miles after injector replacement to purge the high pressure oil system of air bubbles. If they dont, hard starting occurs.

That's true about purging the air. The problem is that Ford won't pay to do it.
I notice that it starts easier each time I start it up. First time after the injector install, I cranked it 3 times of about 5 seconds each before it would start.
