Is that resistor in the instrument cluster? I ask because I had my instrument cluster out for a couple of days and then had weird charging problems untill I put it back in.
Well I be darned. That is the best news I have heard all week. Here I was worried a had a bad starter, battery, altenator. And all I really was missing was a little light bulb.
Maybe the shop diagram will help me. The DK/GAN wire has power on acc/run. I pluged the wiper motor into another truck and it worked fine. I tryed another control module also multifunction switch.
Thakks Subford the diagrame helped me. I found the problem.
I have a check eng light on. I purchased a OBD 2 code scaner but it has a 16 pin conneter and my truck does not have a diagnostics plug like a chev. I read some where about useing a jumper wire is this ridht?

Your truck does not have OBD2, that started in 1996, you can not use the scanner you bought.
That is right, you do not need a scanner to read your codes. You just ground the test wire sit in the truck with paper a pen, turn on the key and start counting and writing.
My trucks engine light is on. I checked the codes it read 11 three times and then 13 23 33. My manual doesnot have a code chart. Could anyone help?????
Was the engine running? 33= is a KOER code, EGR valve opening not detected.
23 = Closed throttle TPS voltage higher or lower than expected.
13 = is a KOER code, Cannot control RPM during ER Self-Test low RPM check.
