Good Read..educate yourself
the most true thing i have read in awhile
If you imply that sometimes some opinions are more right than others, you're a bigot. Logic, reason, and philosophy have gone out of style. It's a shame.
Whoops, I hope I haven't incited any arguments. I'm just trying to keep this good article bumped.

I can't help but wonder, did you read the article? How is it Propaganda? Regardless if he is an "arab" or not, his point view appears to be an accurate one. I think you also missed the disclaimer at the beginning of the post. This was not meant to start a political discussion, and certainly not one about the Israeli state. It just provided an alternate point of view about the state of the Islamic world.

Doesn't sound like propaganda to me, it all makes a lot of sense.
Bring free elections to the Arab world, they'll vote in the fanatics. Watch Iraq for 10 years, I wonder what they'll have at that time?
Money, politics, history, etc, everything in that article rings true.

that's rich, coming from an apologist for an apartheid state
I did hear an interesting thing the other day. Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, and most of the Arab states in the middle east have female pop stars. Their posters are everywhere, and are dressed worse than Brittany Spears could ever hope to be. Also the gentleman said that their videos could be called soft core ****. These are ARAB countries.
There are four fanatical muslim countries that I know of. Iran, Afghanistan, Saudia Arabia, and Iraq. The other countries keep their political leaders seperate from their religous leaders. In Afghanistan, most of the elected officials, like Iran, are religous leaders as well. This creates a problem. So then you get radicals in government that want to execute christians, and hate everything western, and what do we have, the mess that we are in now.
Iraq is starting to seperate along religous lines, and will most cetainly split into three countries.
However, the illusion that our leaders are giving us about getting out anytime soon, from Afghanistan or Iraq, is complete BS.
Did you know we are building 5, count them 5 permenant bases in Iraq. Complete with Burger Kings, and used car lots. Does this sound like the beginning of a pull out?
Talked with a Air Force buddy the other day, an Afghanistan veteran. He said they told everyone who went there, that in order to stabilize that country, and keep them from reverting back, we would have to keep a full military presence there for over 50 years. Again, were going no where fast.
So now, we have put our troops, our hopes, and our money into two countries that will soak up all of our military forces for probably 50 years. I completley agree with Afghanistan, don't get me wrong, but I think if they knew it was going to take such a toll, that we should have finished one job before we started another.
"Until around the late 1980s, the word was commonly spelled Moslem. The spelling has since fallen into disuse. Muslims do not recommend this spelling because it is often pronounced "mawzlem" /mɒzlɛm/ which sounds somewhat similar to an Arabic word for "oppressor" (Za'lem in Arabic). The word is pronounced /muslem/ in Arabic, but often /mʊzlɪm/ in English. The word is now most commonly written "Muslim".
