I carry a 9 1/2 ft Vanguard camper plus I tow a 16 ft boat with my 68 F-250 Camper Special. The problem is that my drum pads burn up when I come down the mountain. Truck is automatic (C-6 tranny) I was going to convert the front end to discs but heard that I might get the same results by putting a 1 ton booster and one ton master cylinder into the system instead. Any suggestions?
Cheers:-X12
Go for the power discs. You can also shift the C6 into 2nd or L to help with the braking. I do that in my car on long downhill runs to help save the brakes.
