I am having a problem with one of the o2 sensors on my explorer. I bought a new one because the check engine light was on and the scanner said it was bad. Bought an new one and have the same problem. truck is running a lot rougher now and miss fires. I check the harness with a multimeter with the numbers the hayen manual said and nothing was right. Could this possibly be something in the pcm. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
You didn't do any sort of diagnosis on the given code, did you?
What was the code number, if you remember, proceed to give it to us and we can help you.
Very RARELY is a code mentioning an O2 sensor actually meaning a problem due to the O2 sensor itself. Sitting where it is in the scheme of things, it doesn't do much, but it sure can detect a lot of things while sniffing the exhaust stream.
