Stainless Exhaust
I'm looking for a stainless exhaust system for my 2002 Expy with the 5.4. I don't want anything crazy but looking for a slight throaty/deeper tone to the exhaust. This vehicle is driven by the wife so I'm not looking for something loud. Just a nice deeper tone but at highway speeds is fairly quiet. Is their such a system out there? Anyone have an exhaust system they like. I searched the forum but found alot of people wanting the noise.

FlowMaster has both SS and aluminized steel systems. I installed the Force II Catback when the wife was away for the weekend. Duh, she noticed it immediately. Any chance your stock system is stainless? It has been on my Subaru's since 93. I only thought of that after I cut off the stock 99 Expy system and threw it in a dumpster. In retrospect perhaps the exhaust changeout was a bad idea - gas mileage still sucks, louder on the highway, and I cheaped out and did not go with SS. I sounds great when you get on it - maybe that explains the mileage? Nah!

I remember seeing either on Edmunds.com or KBB.com that a MY98 EB Expy 5.4 4x4 had a stainless exhaust system from the factory as a list of standard equipment. I dont know if all years had this setup however.

Exhaust question??
How much do you guys think is a fair price to get my dual exhausts done on my 99 EB. I got a quote from a guy that owns a muffler shop and he told me $325 because my truck has the air bags in the back and theres not alot of space, he also told me he had to remove my spare tire in order to get it done. What do you guys think?
