seat heater module?

Hi all-anyone have experience in replacing leather seats with cooled/heated seats? I got a rip on the driver side seat on my '03 expy. Took it to the local Ford dealer/repair shop to get it fixed since insurance covered it. The shop subbed the job out to a tent and awning place. Friday night we got the expy back, and noticed the heater would only turn on for about a minute, then shut off. Same thing for the air. Got a hold of the shop this morning. They said "could be totally unrelated". Whatever...it worked fine before we took it in Friday morning. The shop just called back and said the connections are fine, but the module is bad-doesn't have anything to do with replacing the leather. My question to you is: Doesn't this sound off a bit? I'm not sure what they had to do in order to replace the leather, I just know they said it involves a few hours labor. Do they have to take the seat off? If so, could this have caused a problem with the module? I have a feeling I am going to have to pay big bucks for this...something that I don't feel just "happened". What's your guys' take on this? I called the shop and told the guy something isn't right and that I wanted him to put the seat back together and not fix it right now. The guy hung up on me. Nice, huh? Wonder what else is going to "happen" to my expy when I get it back.
