Tymar vs. Kwikfilter

Is there any difference,Tymar has a Donaldson filter & kwik uses Napa 6637.I was told Donaldson is water repellent & Napa is paper filter.Anyone have trouble with Napa sucking water into turbo.

no problems here, ran through rain hard enough i had to slow down and didnt have a drop of water on it.... it takes a lot to make a 7200 lb pickup hydro plane at 35....still no water on filter

I use the 46637 off of fleetfilter.com. Never sucked any moisture in it. Lasted a year for me and was still in good shape. I dont do many dirt roads. Its only $20.00 also.

when i bought my 6637 to build my own tymar knockoff (see my gallery) it was a donaldson filter. wix makes most of napa filters but they also get reboxed stuff from others. my filter had the same little sticker that if i remember right "duralite" which is donaldson patented water repellant paper media. so chances are they are the same!

They're all the same. No problems with sucking water.
