I have a 1991 Ford F150 with a problem. My windshield wipers only work on high and they pause every once and a while on high. The intermittent and low settings do not work. I took the black wiper module box apart and checked all of the soldering points and they are fine. When I turn the wipers on high they are fine for a minute or so and then they start to pause. While this pause is going on my volt meter is going down and back up and the wiper module is clicking like a geiger counter at a radiation convention. The rainy season in Hawaii is not the best time for wipers not to work correctly. Thanks for any help that you can give me.
I've had 2 93's and my current 94. All had the wiper motors go south. First I replaced the module that you checked and once I even replaced the multi function switch on the column, only to find out its the motor. The motors are getting hard to find at the wreckers in these parts.
I have a 1993 F 150 and have no wiper action at any setting, intermittent or otherwise. I hear the black box to the far right under the glove box ticking at each setting, but no movement for wipers. What's the true test to see what the problem may be? And where's the wiper motor module? Is it that black box under the glove box? I saw a wire diagram of it. It seems to have 14 wires to it. Seven in one column and seven in th enext column of the drawing, but where is it?
Thanks.
