Smile Jumping Ship!?

Well guys its been a great road and I want to personally thank all of you who have been sooooo helpfull I think Im going to opt for a trade into a Diesel. Not because I have a problem with my V-10 but I need a little more umph. I think the V-10 is the baddest MFr on the road for a gas engine and would recomend it to any one who asked! But the day has come for the need of 610 foot pounds and 350 HP I think that will GIT-R-DONE a bit better....

Thanks again
JT

Not jumping ship Brother if you stay Ford...

Let some of the fellers here know (in the appropriate seller forum) what you need for the 2003 V10 powered machine...

Nothing wrong with the diesel power plant if you know what you need and what the costs are... owned plenty of max grunt motors in my time and hope I don't get forced back into a oil burner..but that really is all about me getting old and liking quiet, maintenance free equipment... Now, if I was twenty years younger...you bet!!!! A PSD, Propane, Chip, Wicked wheel, 4" down pipe, oversize inter-cooler, BTS trans, and 12 IssPro gages would be in the garage.... OH wait..dang!!! I forgot....been there, done that , still got the smelly "T" shirt

Just remember to deffend us with the diesel guys. Good luck with your purchase and hope you have many trouble free miles. If you need to..... stop at your local ford dealer and take a new v10 out on a test run to get the BSEG back.

Maybe you should trade your 2-valver in for a 3-valver?

And no problems here if you need to go diesel, just do it in a Ford

Okay as long as we are on the subject I am jumping ship too. Picking up new FORD 6.0 on Saturday. Had an 04 6.0, bailed out after problems, and got a V10. With this extra $2500 for 03 and 04 owners I have got to give it one more try. Wish me luck if your so inclined and thanks for all the fine reading you fellas have provided me with the last two years. I will continue to visit this forum if for no other reason than you are the happiest bunch on this web site. Thanks.

Damn!! Two in one day we lost to the dark side. Did you guys always have your hearts set on the diesel all throughout your V10 ownership? I'm just curious as to why you 2 are switching, besides just more low end grunt.

Yes it has always been in the back of my mind. I am banking on the dark side being not so dark anymore. We will see.

May the Force be with you on your travels through the Dark Side.....

Gotta be some good bargains out there right now.... I just got an invite from the dealership I bought my truck and SUV from in the last year to a "private" 6-hour sale with "incredible" bargains. Something must be up!

Well I was hoping to jump ship today kinda..I felt guilty I thought I was trading my wife and kids and V10 FTE brothers in too.Anyway the deal did not go through. The dealer only offered me 15,500 for my truck and sell there truck for 37,995. I just could'nt bite off that much of a loss for my truck.Iknow I feel like one of those pukes that went AWOL.Look what I almost had though. The truck is a 2005 diesel,7,000m miles man it looked sharp I must be stupid because, lord knows I would have had some kind of problem with that 6.0 diesel.Hey I know my luck is always bad or maybe it was until now;who knows.I do love diesels though and V10's gees,I'd like one of each please .HEY GUYS CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW TRUCKS!

Timely posting!

I recently found myself in need of an option which only seems to be available with diesel engines. So, I have to say that next week I should be the proud owner of a diesel, automatic, 4x4... with PTO. But, because of my situation, it won't be Ford blue.
