im goin to change my 240 out with a 360 in the morning and i was wondering if i can just set in the 360, or am i going to have to move the motor mounts back?
The mounts will be ok, but you know you can't bolt up to the tranny, right? The bell pattern is different, and the radiator is too small.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
i did the swap this morning and i had to move the motor mounts back and the 3 speed tranny mounted right up to the bell housing. The 360 had originally had a T-18 4speed on it.

Not positive on this, but aren't the inlet/outlet holes on opposite sides from an FE radiator?
I stripped a 300-6 4spd 68 F100 a couple years ago, and it seems to me that this was the case (wanted to snag the radiator for my `69 but it was backwards)

Everything lined up??? when I put my 360 in where the 240 was I had to use different frame horns because the 240's were a whole different shape it seems like 1" forward or so than the FE's and they were already in the "back" position
the radiator was different, but the motor mounts just had to be un-bolted and moved back to the holes that were pre-drilled. the truck was a 72 and the engine came out of a 76
