well as of now i get an extra two days of spring break due to some idiot kids that contaminated our school with 17 vials of mercury.. thank god for some idiots because well they made my week ha, so whats the big deal with mercury ya i know it can make you sick but isnt that just if you like eat it? i know people that have broken an old thermameter and been exposed and stuff and they're all fine so whats the real danger here?
Mercury is bad stuff. From what I understand, even if you don't get enough into your system to cause ill effects, it is accumilative and will build up in the organs with continued exposure. I also seem to remember that it can be absorbed through the skin. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Take some of this unexpected time off from school to become educated (between beers of course) and do an internet search on the affects of mercury.
Enjoy the vacation.

Yeah, Mercury poisening tends to be cumulative and is absorbed through the skin. I mean, you can obviously eat it for instant effects, but it can go through the skin. They used to put mercury in old top hats in the 19th century and before. Then they figured out it made you batty.
