yep, mine has the **** right in the same location as David T.'s... it was a PITA getting it in there, i had to grind some plastic supporting out from behind it. i wish i would have put it on the left. if i pick up a spare plastic fuse panel cover shroud ( the piece that you drill into), im going to put it on the left beside my TC lockup.
support out from behind what? if youre talking about the left side, where the metal around the fuse panel? that is simply removed by (i believe) three bolts and the fuse panel will slide around and pull out of the way. no reinforcing or webbing behind that part, all nice and smooth. i am still looking for a way to fill the hole on the right side of the dash. ideas?
I know strokin is running the TS chip, what chip are you running Scar13? I wonder if the switches are slightly different between the various chips. I have the DP-Tuner chip and the switch rod part comes out far enough to thread the nut onto so I didn't have to remove any plastic from behind. Just drill, mount and I'm good to go.
here is where mine is. i would like to patch this hole and put it on the left side. see how i overestimated the size of the little part that prevents the **** from turning the switch.... it looks hideous. any ideas on how to patch it?
Here is my location. You have to cut a bit of the plastic away since the back of the **** is so freakin big!. I had to do this for emissions. They say if your truck is chipped then they wont pass you. Thats a bunch of so I am trying to hide it.
So Strokin how do you like the chip compared to the Juice and Evo stacked?

much better, the power is great, and its alot less smoke. sometimes thats bad though, when you want to smoke a ricer. i cant believe that i smoked my buddy out when he tried to pass me coming out of school. the bad thing was that i was on stock. you could see a nice haze. i didnt know he carried a bird in his car, he flicked it at me. back on topic- yes the chip is great. i like the TC lockup shifting into 2nd if you are on it hard enough. less strain on the tranny. i am going to send it back soon here to have the firm shifting taken off. it was a trial program and i dont like it. Garrett is reburning it for me. the sonnax and the firm shifting don't play well together. but other than the sometimes buckboard shifts with light throttle, its great. 140, it actually feels like 140.
So do I but you need to know how to solder. The cable has to be extended about 7 feet to be routed under the seat and give it enough slack to allow the seat to go completely forward.
