here is where mine is. i would like to patch this hole and put it on the left side. see how i overestimated the size of the little part that prevents the **** from turning the switch.... it looks hideous. any ideas on how to patch it?
One of Garrett's lighted switch displays would probably cover that hole. Funny thing is, I don't remember mine having that little part. Maybe I just cut it off. I've had no problems with the switch turning though. I think the nut is tight enough on there to keep it from turning. But, if it does start to turn, I'll figure something out.
How does this sound... When you go to buy your gages, buy a 4 pod A-pillar mount insteand of a 3. Use a hole saw and cut a blank of sheetmetal to fill in the unused pod and mount the selector there.

I'd first find out how much that piece cost from one of the oem online dealers. That would be the best way. Or what about putting some type of logo there, or possibly get small chrome strip, or maybe even have a stip painted same color as truck and carry the theme throughout the dash.
I have a DP tuner chip but see Strokins position mine is right of that and if you look behind it you will see alot of plastic there which keeps me from flat or flush mounting from behind.
As to cover the hole? I would go get some slow hardening putty, and a can of matchin paint.. Putty up the hole and paint it.
