I had a muffler place install my MBRP 4" exhaust yesterday. I drove about a 1/2 mile from the muffler place and my pickup quit. It would turnover, but wouldn't fire. The muffler place used a diagnostic machine and identified the cam sensor as the issue. After the truck set for about an hour or so, it would start and run for awhile. Maybe it is just coincidental that the sensor went out just after the exhaust was installed. Any thoughts?
Since you're in the "intermittant" stage, try this and let us know:
Reach up to the sensor and simply unplug it and plug it back in a couple of times. I'm getting suspicious of the long-term integrity of the mating connector, no matter it's gold-plated. Indeed, the fact that Ford made this plating change tells me something.
If it continues to stall, we will have learned something. If not, we will still have learned something.

mine did this a few weeks ago, just after installing my newest dp tuner. I changed the CPS (black, not blue) and still no start. Ended up towing to shop and it was the oil pressure sensor on the injection pump (thats what I understood). Nothing to do with anything, just failed after 200k+ miles
i dont really know. I always used to do my own work, including rebuilding manual tranny's. Now, with 4 diffrent retail businesses, I really dont have time to even change my own oil. I have to take it back the shop and get my new sensor, they just installed a used "loaner" to get me by. I will let you know what it is when I see it.
